The seven performances in Minster and Broadstairs raised £500 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. Thankyou to everyone for your donations and to Minster WI for the yummy cream tea!
A group of remarkable WI women in a small Yorkshire village made history with their "Alternative" WI calendar where they posed in the all together behind buns, teacups, flowers and a piano. All this to raise money for a replacement sofa in the cancer wing where their best friend's husband died. Tim Firth's stage play based on this true story is just delightful, both to perform and watch, and we sold around 800 seats over the seven shows, which is an all out record for MPH. The feedback has been amazing with audiences laughing, crying and cheering at every performance of this wonderfully poignant play.
