This good natured comedy from Richard Harris revolves around the members of a tap dancing class. Held in a dingy church hall, led by Mavis, their eternally patient instructor, and accompanied by the acerbic pianist Mrs. Fraser, the eight students (ranging in ability from hopeless to competent) struggle to learn a tap routine for a charity performance. As they learn to dance together, the audience learns more about them as individuals. This production really is life imitating art, as the entire MPH cast is learning to tap dance together! And just like Mavis's class, will they be ready for the big show in a few months time?
