Neal Morcom was welcomed as the Playhouse's new President at the AGM in February.

Neal has been an active member of the Playhouse for many years, taking on numerous acting roles and sourcing the amazing sound tracks that provide the atmosphere and set the tone for all our productions.

You can see him next in the lead role in Inspector Drake.

The Winning Team

Donation to “Taylor-made Dreams”

In January Minster Playhouse was proud to make a donation of £1010.45 to our charity of the year, Taylor-Made Dreams. This is a small, Kent-based charity which aims to make dreams happen for children with life-limiting illness, creating precious memories for families to cherish. The charity focuses on enabling children and their families to experience happy time together which they might otherwise not have been able to afford or make happen.

The majority of the money was raised by the revue, held in October. Thank you to all of you who participated or attended, and extra special thanks to Gilly Brown for organising the event. It’s great that a night of silliness and fun enabled us to raise so much money. We also raised money through the Wine and Wisdom evening (thank you to Peter Pamphilion and Steve Clement for organising) and through donations given at our various productions throughout the year.

Taylor-Made Dreams were delighted with our donation, and told us that it would enable them to help a number of children to realise their bucket lists. The Playhouse committee will soon be deciding on the nominated charity for 2018 so do get in touch if you have any ideas. We like to support local charities where we know our donation can make a big difference.
