Steve Clement’s first play for MPH was Alan Ayckbourn’s “Relatively Speaking”, in 1978. Now a seasoned MPH veteran, Steve is most often found acting, with a little directing, dancing and front of house thrown in for good measure.
He views his favourite production “Sex and Drugs and Rick and Noel” as highly original. As a musical, it was a more unusual choice for MPH, but the audience loved it. Steve clearly loved doing it, citing it as his most memorable role, and could relate to the principal characters.
His choice of favourite play is more conventional, however in Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew”. Always a romantic, his favourite film line is from Julia Roberts in Notting Hill - “I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her”. When asked, what he likes about MPH, his response is simple... “The people… I like being among like minded friends"
